What is Mashmobile?

Mashmobile is about making mobile devices accessible on the internet. The mission is to offer third parties a way to rapidly create exciting web based services and applications that interact with mobile devices in real-time.

Mashmobile offers a combination of a cloud service and a small piece of software that runs on mobile devices. Having the Mashmobile software running on your device will make it accessible at a static URL using the Mashmobile cloud service. Mashmobile also offers a standard web page for the mobile device as well as a web API for third parties that wish to create services and applications.

Non commercial use of these services is free of charge.

What is the Mashmobile Web API?

The Mashmobile Web API is the web programmer's interface to mobile devices. The Mashmobile Web API engages developers in two ways:

• Do you want to develop web based services that interact with the content and resources available on mobile devices? Then you should use the Mashmobile's Web API.

  
  

• Do you want to bind your on device application to the Mashmobile Web API making this application able to respond to specific URL requests. Or do you want to develop new plug-ins in mobile devices and make these plug-ins available for web based services? Then you should take a look at the The Mashmobile Device Server API extension library and learn how this extends the existing Mashmobile Web API.

The Mashmobile Web API is currently available in a developer preview as the APIs and product continue to evolve. Accounts and API keys are available to partners and developers upon request.
